Kasturaba Women's Hostel 
Kasturba Girls Hostel The girls hostel of Rani Durgavati University was established in 1963 with just a single student occupant. Now, it has 80 rooms in two floors with all required facilities, located within the campus of the University. This hostel is one of the biggest Girls Hostels of any of university in the Mahakaushal region. The hostel is home for female students hailing from seven nearby districts mostly of tribal belongings. The University is nearly 3 kilometers from the Jabalpur Railway Station and nearly 6 kilometers from the old bus station. There is excellent bus and auto facility. With the increase in demand and the necessity, the University had approved another girls hostel that is about to complete in next a few months. This hostel will have well furnished 31 rooms. In a campus of 24,000 sq. ft., the girls hostel is constructed in 2 blocks, each having two floors. There are a total of 80 rooms (3.37 × 3.67 sq. mt. each) in these two blocks. Each room is shared by 2 girls. All the floors have got 10 sets of common bathrooms and lavatory situated on the corners of each floor. Within the campus of hostel there is a courtyard and Garden in front of the hostel which is also in the periphery of the campus. Besides, the hostel has a reception hall (7.5 × 10.57 sq mt.); sets of bathrooms on each floor (10; 7.89 × 4.43 sq mt.); lavatory (12; 7.89 × 4.43 sq mt.); kitchen (5 × 3.48 sq mt.); utility room (7.5 × 2.0 sq. mt.); store (2.28 × 1.8 sq. mt.); courtyard (30 × 50 sq. ft.); dining hall (11 × 7.5 sq. mt.) and reading rooms (2; 3.37 × 3.67 sq mt). The hostel is covered from all the sides with 6 feet high boundary wall and 3 feet barbed wire fence is over this boundary wall. The main entrance has a security office with security guards. The annual fee is Rs. 4,000 each student/year. There is additional charge of Rs. 1,015 per month for daily breakfast, lunch, tea in the evening and dinner. The facilities provided in the girls hostel consist of the following. Wooden single bed; study table with book shelf and Chair; cupboard with lock and Key; room fans; separate bath and toilet with sanitary fittings; dressing mirror with drawers; mattress with covers; and hot water supply between 6:30 am to 8:30 am. Other Facilities include cold water coolers with purifiers on both ground and first floors of each blocks; reading room facility; TV in entertainment room with cable connection; cleaning of rooms by female housekeeping person; facility of daily local and national news papers; round the clock electricity and water supply; security services with security office on the entrance gate; availability of medical doctor between 6:30 am to 7:30 pm; separate mess facility with unlimited food of breakfast and dinner; indoor games – carom, chess, table tennis, Yoga Facility; outdoor games- badminton; general store facility for necessary provisionary items, tea and coffee; laundry facility availability between 6:30 to 9:00 pm; provision of receiving mails, couriers and parcels. There is provision of pest control in rooms and outside area; and space for two wheeler parking. The Hostel has a lady Superintendent residing on campus. A dispensary is situated in front of the Hostel block. Every evening a short assembly is conducted by the inmates.

Devendra Boys Hostel

Devendra boys hostel is situated in the university campus consisting of 100 rooms with the present occupancy of 120 students.  The ratio of SC, ST and OBC inmates is quite high and it is increasing every year. Realizing the need of local area and to promote equality and quality education to every section of population, the University Grant Commission granted a sum of rupees 75 lakhs to construct a new block/ building with 25 rooms for boys under the 11th Five Year Plan. The new building is under construction and likely to be operation in the new session beginning July 2014. The construction of a new building of hostel for research scholar comprising of 28 rooms has been completed and the university will soon complete formalities for occupation. Equipment for gym, Reading room material, Punch machine (identity and movement monitor), solar panel of lighting and water, heating, computer, printer, scanner for office work is under process of procurement.
